Goal of this position: Develop long term and effective relationships with brands, media-, creative-, digital-, and PR agencies. We are looking for someone who can tactfully open a dialogue with the right influencer marketing decision makers. Someone who has experience building a pipeline of consistent business and driving revenue targets.. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, building a strategic business development plan, providing education and a high degree of quality service to clients across multiple industries, and collaborating cohesively with internal teams across account management, creative, and tech.. Key challenges for the 1st month:
Develop a strong understanding of the indaHash offering and USP, our competition in the influencer marketing industry, and client prospects.
Understanding social media trends and how changes within big platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) can affect our client partners.
Keeping up to date with digital content creators and consumer behaviors.
Supporting sales and marketing team on campaign pitches, client recommendations, and campaign execution
Arranging strategic meetings with key influencer marketing decision makers at both brands and agencies.
Key challenges for the 3rd month:
Fostering long term relationships with current clients. Implementing outside the box strategies for winning business.
Maintaining a high degree of quality meetings and activity with prospective clients.
Developing and implementing an effective social media strategy for clients.
Building a team of junior sales executives and assisting with recruitment
Key challenges for the 6th - 12th month:
Working together with VP of Business Development to help shape the biggest influencer marketing platform in US
Presenting qualified sales opportunities where indaHash can provide value with its technology and community of digital influencers. Executing short-term strategic goals with Business Development VP to grow and scale business in US
Planning and executing strategic client pitches
Closing business to achieve individual and company revenue targets
We are looking for Senior Business Development Manager who has:
An understanding of the media landscape, experience hitting revenue targets and a creative approach to new business development
Diverse network in the media and advertising industry including key brand direct relationships
Ability to nourish fruitful relationships and to set up meetings with key decision makers within the first few months.
Proven experience building out new business development strategies and tactics
Strategic thinker and consultative approach with the ability to negotiate effectively and close business deals
Strong experience with digital culture along with knowledge of trends and innovation in the digital ecosystem (Social Media/Media/Advertising/Digital)
2-3 years experience in social media, media sales, or agency/Excellent organisational skills with an emphasis on priorities and goal setting
